1 · Who we are
Attestable Research (“Attestable Research”, “we”, “us”) operates attestable.ca, lab.attestable.ca and the products described on this site. Contact: @AttestableResearch on Telegram. A dedicated @attestable.ca address is being provisioned and will replace this. Signed material carries the OpenPGP key 184E 449F E256 871D FFFB AD33 F3D0 0D36 427D EBC5 (pgp.asc).
2 · What an attestation is, and is not
We publish signed records of things we ran. A valid signature proves two things and no more: the record was produced by the holder of the stated key, and the bytes have not changed since.
It is not proof that the software is correct, safe, accurate, or fit for your purpose. It is not certification, accreditation, or audit by any third party. It does not transfer risk to us. Where a record states limitations — components that were unavailable, sample sizes that are too small to support a statistical claim, conditions that did not hold — those limitations are part of the signed record and travel with it.
Where we say “attested”, read it as this is what we ran and here is how to check we ran it. Nothing stronger is intended or should be inferred.
3 · DoubleCheck — product-specific disclosures
DoubleCheck is a screening aid. It is not a security control, not a filter, and not a guarantee.
- It will be wrong in both directions. Some scams will draw a reassuring reply (a false negative), and some legitimate messages a warning (a false positive). No accuracy figure is published because none has been established on representative data.
- A reassuring reply is not clearance. “Nothing jumped out at me” — recorded as a “safe” verdict in the signed records — is not permission to send money, share credentials, click a link, install anything, or trust a sender. Treat it as one weak signal among several.
- “I couldn't read this one” means exactly that — recorded as “unassessable”, typically because the substance is in an image, an attachment, or a linked conversation. It is an abstention, and must not be read as either reassurance or warning.
- It is not advice. Nothing DoubleCheck outputs is financial, legal, investment, security, medical or other professional advice.
- Language-model stage. By default the language-model stage runs on our own hardware in Canada. If that stage is unavailable, the bot may fall back to a third-party API processing outside Canada; masked message text sent there is subject to that provider's terms, and users can disable the fallback inside the bot (/residency). Do not submit material you are not permitted to disclose.
- Availability. Components can be unavailable without notice, and the system may run in a degraded mode in which advisory layers do not contribute. Degradation is disclosed in the signed record for a given run; it is not always visible in a single verdict.
- Data handling. Message text is processed to produce a reply and is not retained: the hosted bot keeps no record that a screening happened — not the message, not a hash of it, not the verdict, not the time. What is kept is the account and payment record set stated in the bot's /privacy notice. We do not sell data and run no advertising or third-party analytics.
4 · No warranty
The products, this site, the lab exhibits, and all associated materials, outputs and records are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty or condition of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. We specifically disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the products will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any output will be accurate or reliable.
5 · Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Attestable Research, its operators, contributors and agents accept no liability whatsoever — on any surface, through any channel, and under any theory — arising from or in connection with the products, this site, the lab exhibits, any verdict, output, record or attestation, any deployment, or any reliance placed on any of them.
This exclusion covers, without limitation: direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary and punitive damages; loss of funds, cryptocurrency, data, profits, revenue, goodwill, business or opportunity; business interruption; the cost of substitute goods or services; and loss arising from fraud, scam, theft or compromise that a verdict failed to prevent or that a verdict contributed to. It applies whether the claim sounds in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such loss.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you actually paid us for the specific product in the three months before the event, or (b) CAD $50.
Mandatory law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities — commonly including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and certain consumer rights. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where any provision is held unenforceable, it applies to the greatest extent permitted and the remaining provisions stay in full force.
6 · Your responsibilities
- You remain solely responsible for decisions you take, including any decision informed by a verdict.
- Do not submit content you are not entitled to disclose, or that is unlawful to transmit.
- Do not present DoubleCheck output to third parties as certification, clearance or a security guarantee.
- Do not use the products to build a service that implies a guarantee we have not given.
7 · Copyright and confidentiality
© 2026 Attestable Research. All rights reserved.
Products are proprietary and confidential. DoubleCheck (formerly published as Sentinel) and any other product offered here — including source code, trained models and weights, prompts, detection heuristics, deployment materials, runbooks, configuration and documentation — are the confidential property of Attestable Research. Publication of a description, a price or a signed record on this site grants no licence, express or implied, to use, copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute or create derivative works.
Mutual confidentiality. Information exchanged during scoping, onboarding or deployment — ours and yours — is treated as confidential, used only for the engagement, and not disclosed to third parties except where required by law.
The lab is deliberately different. The exhibits at lab.attestable.ca are released under the MIT licence and yours to copy, change and republish. An MIT grant is not revocable for a version already published: a copy you have taken is a copy you keep, whatever happens to the hosting. That is a separate grant and is not affected by anything in this section.
8 · Privacy
These sites set no cookies, run no analytics, and embed no third-party resources. Nothing about your visit is transmitted to us beyond the ordinary server and CDN request logs kept by our hosting providers.
The DoubleCheck bot processes what you send it in order to answer, as described in section 3. Payment, where used, is handled entirely inside Telegram; we do not receive or store payment card details.
9 · Changes and governing law
These terms may change; the version in force is the one published here. Signed records already issued are not altered by later changes — that is what signing them is for.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence.
